MMU HackDay at MMU

From 15th to 17th August 2025, the IT Society MMU successfully organized MMU HackDay 2025, a beginner-friendly hackathon aimed at introducing newcomers to the world of innovation, collaboration, and technology.

A Beginner-Friendly Hackathon Experience

MMU HackDay was designed with one goal in mind — to create an inclusive space for students who are new to hackathons or coding. Over the course of three days, participants from various backgrounds came together to brainstorm, learn, and turn their creative ideas into real solutions.

The event featured introductory workshops, mentorship sessions, and hands-on project development, allowing teams to experience what it’s like to build something from scratch while learning new technologies along the way.

Learning Through Collaboration

Throughout the event, participants were guided by mentors and experienced developers who provided insights on coding, design thinking, and teamwork. This supportive environment helped participants overcome challenges, build confidence, and gain practical skills applicable beyond the hackathon.
