CYBERSECURITY COMMUNITY MEETUP: MALWARE EDITION by Sherpasec!

Our April 2025 community meetup at Multimedia University, Cyberjaya brought together students and cybersecurity enthusiasts for an intense, hands-on session on malware and threat intelligence.

In collaboration with Malware Village, the session featured:

🔍 Fareed Radzi (Security Researcher, Kaspersky)
Presented “From Malware to APTs: A Beginner’s Guide to Threat Intelligence Workflows”, covering real-world malware reverse engineering and how threat hunters track Advanced Persistent Threats.

🕵️ Ukasyah Mohd Azlan (Junior Malware Analyst, WithSecure)
Delivered an in-depth breakdown of Oliver Stealer, a low-detection browser malware that stealthily evades standard security tools.

From packed seats to deep discussions, the meetup highlighted just how crucial threat research is in today’s cybersecurity landscape. Huge thanks to SherpaSec, Malware Village, and our speakers for making it possible.
